Champagne Moutard Grande Cuvee Brut

Tasting Notes

A bright Champagne with a juicy mix of black cherry and candied pink grapefruit. This Cuvee is the pillar of the Moutard production. Refined, rich nose which evokes notes of butter, almond and brioche. Lively, elegant and balanced palate with good mouthfeel.

Additional Info

From the Cotes des Bar region of Champagne. Made with 80% Pinot Noir, 20% Chardonnay from vines an average of 20 years old. The Moutard family has been making wine since 1642 from its base in Buxeuil on the sunny slopes of the Cote des Bar and started producing Champagne in 1927

Food Matching

Brut Champagne is a dry style of Champagne and it has a little bit of sugar added after the fermentation process, but still tastes dry to the palate. Try with Oysters, Cheese platters or fried food (fish and chips with Champagne is a delight!)
