Ample nose with hints of red fruit and the forest floor. Full-bodied palate with good persistence and excellent balance with spiced red berry fruit flavours. Vinification via the Skin Contact method which creates the beautiful soft pink colour. 36 months on the lees in Moutards chalk cellars. Serve at 12c
From the Cotes des Bar region of Champagne. The Moutard family has been making wine since 1642 from its base in Buxeuil on the sunny slopes of the Cote des Bar and started producing Champagne in 1927
Pair with dishes that are not too heavy or greasy, as the acidity in the Champagne can accentuate these flavours. Perfect with salmon, red mullet and grilled meat, or a light vegetable soup.
