Business Manager: NNE, Newcastle to Scotish Borders

Role Requirements:
- Establish, develop and maintain business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in the assigned territory/market segment to generate new business for Lanchester Wines’ portfolio/services
- Adopt a proactive approach to new business and work well in a targeted environment, with an ability to think ‘outside the box’
- Develop clear and effective written proposals/quotations/wine lists for current and prospective customers
- Co-ordinate sales efforts with sales management, accounting, credit control, logistics and technical service teams
- Analyse the territory/market potential and determine the value of existing and prospective customers
- Create and manage a customer journey plan to maximise the Return on Time Investment for the territory/segment
- Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services
- Keep abreast of market developments and trends, new products, technical developments and bring recommendations to the business as you see fit
- Participate in trade shows and conventions where needed.
Candidate Requirements:
- Live in or near to the designated area with a detailed geographical knowledge
- On Trade sales experience within the drinks industry
- Passionate about wine with an extensive knowledge of the subject
- WSET qualified (minimum level 3 preferred)
- Analytical and numerate with great attention to detail
- Computer literate – Excel and Word especially
- Able to complete a detailed price proposal and write an excellent wine list
- Able to communicate with confidence both internally and externally
- Demonstrate a deeply-held passion for our wines, our aims as a business and for delivering outstanding customer service
- Experience of working with brand owners would be advantageous.
