Europe continues to experience glass shortages which is impacting the availability of 187ml glass bottles.
Due to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, three of the country’s four glass furnaces have become incapacitated which has severely reduced the availability of glass bottles across Europe. Other producers are working hard to fill the gap in supply, however, with increased energy costs coupled with a European shortage of glass in general, the costs and efficiencies of running larger bottles takes priority at the working furnaces and so the 187ml format has become a casualty.

Where possible, we have migrated across to PET 187ml bottles which ensures your continued access to wine in quarter bottles – this change in format in no way affects the quality of the wine. The bottles are very similar in size with PET lighter in weight.
We have also introduced our new Wallflower range of Spanish wines in 187ml cans, and will continue to introduce further canned wine ranges.
We will continue to keep you updated on this situation and appreciate your patience and understanding.
